Many parents who join Digitutors come because they have been let down by, or had a negative experience with, a tutor or a service provider. Centres that provide tuition are not regulated and even with regulation we all know what schools are like, usually from personal experience.
At Digitutors we aim to be transparent and invite parents to be involved and communicate their concerns to us so that we may address them. Frequently parents don’t trust a tutor because of their previous bad experience. We are here to discuss and address specific concerns.
Let us know your concerns so we can help you. As head of education I work closely with all my tutors and provide ongoing support and guidance to them.
We have had some struggles in the past with finding a good fit for AS Chemistry, as an example, even though we have worked with very experienced tutors. Some struggle with the homeschool mindset, some with group classes and some with making the transition to online tutoring.
Because we want our tutors to be engaging and passionate sometimes younger tutors are the way to go. These tutors are flexible, enthusiastic and engage well with students, often going the extra mile to help them find resources and provide exact explanations for difficult concepts. As head tutor I check in with the tutors on a regular basis and discuss individual student progress in addition to strategy for any tricky sections and suggest resources that can be used. More experienced tutors who prefer to work independently still maintain regular contact and as soon as a student experiences difficulties this is communicated.
Our exam prep process also ensures that students are well prepared through doing initial revision papers, followed by timed, supervised papers for added pressure and to ensure they don’t fool themselves by using mark schemes as they write. The tutors go over each paper in detail during the feedback sessions and students can get specific explanations for their questions. The structure provided by the process itself, along with detailed explanations from the tutor, ensure good results, like the 100% pass rate we had with our students on all levels during the May 2025 exams.
The way the group classes are structured ensures that the full syllabus is covered at least once in all groups. Depending on the subject some syllabus content will be covered more than once and exam level questions will be given to students relatively early on in the process to ensure they become familiar with how the questions will be asked in the exams.
Trusting your service provider means trusting the process followed by your service provider. We build trust through transparency, open communication, engagement, effective management and a magical blend of passion and experience.
